Superkarts test at Silverstone

Following Oulton Park, the superkarts tested at Silverstone last Saturday.

Despite standing water on the Hangar Straight, drivers succeeded in getting a lot of track time during the sessions. The garages at Silverstone's Wing Complex were used to prepare the karts.

John Riley of Redspeed, Phil Featherstone of Raider and Ian Harrison of Viper Racing were on hand to help. The drivers included European champion Lee Harpham; MSA Champion Paul Platt; UK Cup winner Chris Needham; Ben Davis; Josh Rayman; Adam Underhill; Kevin Ridley; Catherine Foster; Ben Willshire; James Harvey; Russell Crowe; Adam Edgecombe; Duncan Marshall; Dean Priest and Matt Isherwood. Ben's brother Toby, Steve Parker and 125 Open champion Danny Edwards also paid a visit to the paddock along with Gary James of RG Racing.

35 superkarts tested. For the 125s, the season begins at Darley Moor on 1 April and for the 250 Nationals, at Castle Combe on 6 May.
