Crew chief appointments for Reutimann, McMurray

David Reutimann and Jamie McMurray have learned the identity of the men who will oversee their 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup campaigns following the usual flurry of post-season personnel moves.

Rodney Childers will leave Gillett Evernham Motorsports, where he was crew chief for Elliott Sadler, to become Reutimann's crew chief at Michael Waltrip Racing, sources close to the team told SceneDaily.com.

A formal announcement of the move, which will see Childers will replace Ryan Pemberton - who this week left MWR to become Brian Vickers' new crew chief at Red Bull Racing - should come later this week.

Meanwhile, over at Roush Fenway Racing, Donnie Wingo will be reunited as McMurray's crew chief in 2009, having previously filled a similar role for three seasons at Ganassi Racing.

Wingo started the 2008 campaign as Juan Pablo Montoya's crew chief at Ganassi, before a team reshuffle saw him finish the year working with Reed Sorenson.
