NASCAR » How do you solve a problem like Talladega?

I just wanted to say that I have come up with a solution to the cars getting airborne that will not cost alot of money, nor would it require building new cars. It modifies the bumper area of the current cars. Can someone provide me with the correct people to contact with this information. Thanks!

Could we not just add a diffuser to the rear of the car for these tracks and stick the cars to the track? Admittedly that might make things worse. The way to solve this appears to be with the rear end which acts like a wing pretty effectively when the car is turned backwards.

The problem with this all stems from the fact that the cars can easily navigate the track at full speed. The way to solve it is therefore to make them drive it at something other than full speed. Rock hard tires would work, that give drivers no grip. A better way would be to take away the restictor plate, or shrink it, to increase engine power. They'd struggle to control the cars at 210mph, and spread out as a result!

turn the track into a "pay lake" or tighten the corners. most boring thing ever! no need to change the whole series over one boring venue. bring back another date at darlington. lots of actual "drivers" track have fallen for this to still exist.

try road courses so the drivers wont be 1 dimensional and only go right. True race car drivers have the WHOLE PACKAGE on setting a car right for any track design.
