Never did quite understand why the likes of Toyota got involved in F1 to start with, it has nothing to do with a big car manufacturer's product base, only benefits them in terms of publicity value, and then only when doing well. Even if NASCAR isn't all that much of a natural home for Toyota it is nearer to it's everyday products than F1. When the big manufacturers want to get back into motorsport, it will be in series such as this and world touring cars, perhaps even sports cars, but not as an offical team in any form of Formula racing, or only as a production based engine supplier, if that. The smell of burnt fingers will live long in the memories of board rooms all across the industry.
