The Nascar nerds might not like him for whatever reason, but that display last night was some of the finest driving you will EVER see. Awesome race won by a simply awesome driver!

NASCAR » Busch survives wrecks to pip Stewart

Kyle Busch had a torrid night of it at the Budweiser Shootout at Daytona International Speedway, but it ended with a win over Tony Stewart - by just 0.013s.

This was the best Nascar race I ever watched. I don't love Nascar, but I had fun watching the cars crash only 3 cars were left untouched by the end.

Those saves were made at nearly 200mph in a car weighing 3500 pounds on a 10" tire with virtually no aerodynamic aids. And with the car half on the banking and half on the flat. No doubt perhaps *some* drivers could, but road racers and F1 guys do not make saves like that every lap. And for the record, I watch and am a fan of virtually all motor racing--"real", NASCAR (by no means my favorite), and otherwise. Any "real" race fan recognizes extra-ordinary talent regardless of race series, and, no question, Kyle Busch and his car control skills would be a standout/winner in any type of car he drove.

BTW, Busch has won road races already, and--several years ago, obviously--Toyota wanted him to test their F1 car, but NASCAR intervened via a mandatory appearance scheduled to conflict with the proposed test.

Ambrose drove 5secs a lap quicker than KYLIE in the wet a few years back...Nascar drivers can only drive in circles...THats why the world motorsport fans think they are laughable....they wont drive if theres a small sprinkle of rain..they have no idea of racing lines or braking points on a road course..it is a sport fabricated for the fans to watch crashes and sell junk food on tv....Nascar is not motorspor..it is entertainment for tv viewers...Kylie could not get enough heat in the tires to race a F1 car ...pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..
