Jacques Villeneuve missed out on a much-wanted home win in Canada after being bumped out of the lead on the final lap by eventual winner Justin Allgaier.

Im not a massive JV fan but yesterday was pretty wrong imo, he was clearly deliberatly punted out of the lead with half a lap to go, he was not running out of fuel, how can that of bin allowed to have stood as the result, feel sorry for Jack & the home fans.!

Edit = to be honest i only watched the last part of the race so didnt see what JV had been up to so if he been punting people out the lead all day then fair enough.

@Gazza, jv got what he gave out. As long as nascrap continues allow (promote) retarded 'pro wrestling' type of entertainment, this is what their 'racing' will be like.

I remember the good old days of Nascar, when 74 lap races lasted 74 laps, allowing good teams to plan their pit stops, and punting another could result in disqualification, and when a title was decided by points, and not some "chase" that requires rule tweaks almost as often as Moto GP.
Yesterday's race, which I watched, reminded me why I quit supporting Nascar several years ago.

@Bomg: Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna have done the same thing. And they did not do it for a race, they did that for championship-deciding race. And they are considered the best ever drivers in history. They have also admitted it and the incidents that happened then is far more obvious than what happened today.

Allgaier really has done nothing wrong, its stock car racing, not F1joke where you are punished for a minor contact.... Villeneuve slowed down to much, Allgaier bumped him just a little bit, nothing dirty... every other NASCAR driver would do the same thing

I watched most of the race and Villeneuve deserved to lose. He intentially pushed Tagliani out of the way where instead Jaques should have eased on the throttle and let Tag straighten out. He is a dirty driver and let his fans down. And I bet the fan who threw the shoe at Danica was a Jaques supporter 'cause she could have won the race.

It seems pretty disgusting that Jacques did that, knowing how he feels about Jerez '97.

What Schumacher did was wrong, but it was a rush of panic as his deep passion and emotion to bring the title home for the great marque Ferrari spilled over. It was very 'human' (meaning flawed) and exposed a vulnerability in Michael.

What Villeneuve did appears to be simply ruthless, calculating and cold-blooded.

Who's the real villain...?
