F1 » Massa confirms Williams is a possibility

Felipe Massa: For sure, I am talking with a few teams, including even Williams. I will not go to a small team. I will go to the team that has possibilities to build a good car.

Massa, why bother with a team ,who with the arrogance of Head and Frank, coupled with poor decision making ,,,have had this team work them self's down through the grid over the last 15 years or so......Frank has no one to blame for his teams state of affairs except him self....years of arrogance ,poor management, driver decisions and sponsor deals will see this team go the way of Brabham.....they never recovered from the wind tunnel fiasco.....

Wasn't Massa saying that he will race in 2014 only with a team that enabled him to win races and fight for the title? Williams hasn't been particularly succesful in recent years, just a midfield team, this year looks as a backmarker. Maybe the Turbo V6 Mercedes can change a bit their fortunes in 2014 but I doubt that Williams will be a top team in 2014. He should choose Sauber. The swiss team did beat Williams in the last three years.

Williams?? Isn't that where Brazilian racing drivers' careers go to die?? I mean, other than Piquet (and that was nearly 20 years ago) look at the trend:

Ayrton Senna
Pizzonia (well, that career was a bit of a stillborn anyway)
Rubens Barrichello
Bruno Senna

Having said that, here's hoping Massa is working on at least a 2-year deal so he can be there in case they can finally pick their game up which I don't believe will happen till 2015...

It would be a huge mistake to go to Williams, they have slid down the grid over the past years and are not suddenly going to produce a winning car. Massa has said he wants to be with a team capable of winning and that is clearly not Williams, it looks as if Hulkenburg has the Lotus drive so I agree that Sauber is a rational choice. He started his career there and they produce good cars in general and as this season has proved are capable of sorting any problems they have to improve there performance. Maybe not a winning car but might just be very close with Massa driving and good Ferrari support.

Lotus or Sauber. At least you can fight for decent points and maybe a win. You'll be fighting to make it out of Q1 at Williams. Interesting comment by Edoz. I've never thought about it but it's true..
