IndyCar Series driver -- and free agent -- Danica Patrick visited Stewart-Haas Racing on Monday.

Co-owner Tony Stewart wasn't at the shop because he was at a Goodyear tyre test at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

"(Tony) has known Danica for some time and has always been a supporter of her racing career," SHR spokesman Mike Arning said. "Danica has had a standing invitation to visit Stewart-Haas Racing since Tony announced his intentions to become a driver/owner in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series a year ago.

"We simply facilitated a tour of the facility and introduced her to a handful of people who were at Stewart-Haas Racing."

Patrick, 27, drives for Andretti Green Racing and has one win in her IndyCar career. She finished third in the Indianapolis 500 in May.

Her contract runs out at the end of this season, and she has mentioned NASCAR as a possible destination.
