At a recent photo shoot for sponsor Budweiser, Kasey Kahne posed in front of a Toyota, instead of the #9 Dodge he currently drives for Richard Petty Motorsports.

Don't jump to the conclusion, however, that RPM is ready to jump to Toyota in its Sprint Cup program, which currently fields cars for Kahne, Elliott Sadler, Reed Sorenson and AJ Allmendinger.

"I don't know what the deal is with that," said Kahne, who qualified tenth but will start from the rear in Sunday's Carfax 400 because of an engine change during Friday's practice. "I did my Budweiser photo shoot, and obviously you guys know that it was a Toyota.

"Why? I don't know why it was. I'm Dodge, man. I think I'll be Dodge next year, truthfully. The Gilletts (team owners) put a car in there to do the photo shoot, and I took my pictures, and hopefully I don't have to take my pictures again."

It's no secret that RPM has been looking at manufacturer options for 2010 and beyond, and the shoot with the Toyota in all likelihood was just a contingency in case of a switch in brands.

However, the likelihood of Red Bull Racing remaining with Toyota -- instead of moving to Chevrolet, as had been widely rumoured -- makes an RPM move to Toyota much more of a long shot.
