Johnny Sauter has lost the lead of the
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series after being penalised six points after the #13 was found to have exceeding the maximum right-rear ride height at Pocono Raceway allowed under the rules.
The penalty means that Austin Dillon now leads the Truck championship by one point from Sauter, with James Buescher a further 13pts back.
The penalty is the same as that received by Kyle Busch for a similar ride height infringement in the Cup series earlier in the season. As in that case, the crew chief responsible was also fined and the same number of owner points were also deducted.
There is no Truck series race this forthcoming weekend while Cup and Nationwide cars run at Watkins Glen International.
The next Truck race is at Michigan on August 20.
