Nationwide Series driver Ryan Truex will move to Joe Gibbs Racing for six of the remaining races of 2011 after sponsorship troubles leave him short at Pastrana-Waltrip Racing.
Nationwide: Truex gets six races with Joe Gibbs
Ryan Truex will race for Joe Gibbs Racing in the Nationwide Series for six outings in 2011.

He will drive the team's #20 car at Atlanta, Richmond, Chicago, Dover, Kansas and Phoenix.

"We're thrilled to bring Ryan into our Nationwide Series program," said the president of JGR, JD Gibbs. "His family has a great history in our sport, and he has really proven himself with the opportunities he has had thus far in his young career ... We're looking forward to him accomplishing great things for our team."

Truex had been hoping to continue his Nationwide run this year with Pastrana-Waltrip Racing in a car co-owned by his father and his older brother, Cup driver Martin Truex Jr. However, a sponsorship shortfall meant alternative arrangements were needed for him to see out the year.
