Kyle Busch won the Scotts EZ Seed 300 Nationwide race at Bristol Motor Speedway, emphasising his dominant form here ahead of the Sprint Cup race at the same venue on Sunday.
Kyle Busch took the lead of the Nationwide Scotts EZ Seed 300 race at Bristol Motor Speedway's half mile oval circuit on lap 32, and with the exception of a single lap he kept the lead until the chequered flag in a totally dominant display at one of his favourite and most successful tracks.

Kasey Kahne was closing fast at the end but ran out of time to take the victory away from Busch, who set a new landmark of 10,000 laps led in the Nationwide series during the afternoon. The race is Busch's 45th Nationwide win in 206 starts, and more significantly for tomorrow's Sprint Car event it is his 10th NASCAR Series career victory at Bristol - four in Sprint Cup and three apiece in Nationwide and Truck.

Danica Patrick had a strong run for much of the race before incurring some damage to her car on lap 209 when an accident developed ahead of her. Even so, she was set for a decent result in the top 20 until lap 248 when she tangled with Ryan Truex and ended up getting spun into a hard, nose-first contact with the wall.

"I felt like he came off the wall," said Patrick, explaining that she thought Truex had moved off the wall down the front straight, into her racing line. "I know I was running him early, and he just runs hard. He's run hard every time I've been around him, and it just seems like overkill."

Patrick's attentions turn to IndyCar next weekend with the start of the 2011 season, and her next appearance in the Nationwide series will not be until Chicagoland Speedway in June.
