Cup - Infineon - Qualifying times

Joey Logano surprised everyone by claiming pole position for NASCAR's first visit of the year to a road course - the historic Infineon Raceway at Sears Point in Sonoma, California.
Joey Logano isn't the first NASCAR driver you would think of as being a strong road course performer - and he seemed as surprised as anyone that he should find himself on pole position for the Sprint Cup's first road race of the 2011 season at Infineon Raceway, Sonoma.

He narrowly saw off challenges from Jamie McMurray and Paul Menard who were both within a tenth of a second of Logano's pole time of 76.821s, the equivalent of an average speed of 93.256mph. Denny Hamlin will start from fourth place.

Infineon Raceway - formerly known as Sears Point Raceway - is a 1.99 mile, 10-turn circuit located in the southern Sonoma Mountains near Sonoma, California, USA.

Friday Nationwide practice times also available.

The Camping World Truck Series is not running this weekend; the next Truck race is at Kentucky on July 7.
