Nationwide - Kentucky - Qualifying

Elliott Sadler claimed pole position for Friday night's Nationwide race, but Kyle Busch's hopes for a triple crown at Kentucky took a hit with a qualifying session crash.
Elliott Sadler claimed his eighth career Nationwide pole and his second of the season at Kentucky with a time of 31.082s, one hundreth of a second ahead of Carl Edwards who will start Friday night's Feed the Children 300 at Kentucky Speedway alongside him on the front row of the grid.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. claimed third place on the grid, while Joey Logano - who has started from pole for the last three races at Kentucky - was bumped down to fourth place. The top ten drivers all passed the 172mph mark during the qualifying session.

Kyle Busch's hopes for a shot at a triple crown weekend, having already won the Truck Series race on Thursday evening, took a serious hit when he crashed his Nationwide car on his first qualifying lap. He will take to a back-up car for the race, which means he will start from the back of the field.

Danny Efland and Carl Long failed to make the 43-car field.

The race is scheduled for 7.30pm ET on Friday evening.
