Nationwide - Nashville - Race results

Carl Edwards won the Saturday night Nationwide Series race at Nashville Superspeedway when polesitter Brad Keselowski developed an engine problem after dominating the first half of the race.
Carl Edwards won the Federated Auto Parts 300 Nationwide Series race at Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday night, his 34th Nationwide victory in 230 starts and his fifth in 2011.

Edwards led for over half the race - 125 of 225 laps of the 1.333 mile D-shaped oval - and dominated the second half of the race, while polesitter Keselowski led 88 laps of the first half of the race until his car developed engine problems.

With no Cup race this weekend - the series taking a rare mid-season week off -m ost of the Cup drivers took the opportunity to have a break rather than showing up in the Nationwide Series race, the exceptions being Edwards and Keselowski. The next Cup event is the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway next weekend.
