Nationwide - Atlanta - Race results

Carl Edwards started from pole position but had to overcome a pit lane penalty and a strong challenge from Kyle Busch to claim victory in the Great Clips 300 Nationwide Series race.
Carl Edwards recovered from an early pit lane fumble and penalty to work his way back to the lead after the final multi-car wreck, and then held onto the top spot despite sustained pressure from Kyle Busch to claim the chequered flag in the Great Clips 300 night race.

"We raced as hard as we could," said Edwards after he celebrated with his trademark backflip. "This track is as good as it gets. This was a blast."

It was Edwards' 35th Nationwide Series win in 236 starts and his sixth win of the season and his second at Atlanta Motor Speedway; his previous win here was also executed from a pole position start.
