Nationwide - Charlotte - Race results

Carl Edwards recovered from an early hit against the wall to claim victory in the "Dollar General 300 Miles of Courage" Nationwide Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Carl Edwards hit the wall hard early during the 200-lap "Dollar General 300 Miles of Courage" Nationwide Series race, but - thanks in no small part to a late push at the restart from Roush Fenway team mate Trevor Bayne - Edwards survived the scare and a late surge from Kyle Busch to claim the chequered flag at Charlotte.

Bayne finished as the top of the Nationwide regulars, ahead of Elliott Sadler and Brian Scott. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. continues to lead Sadler by 15pts in the Nationwide championship.

Earlier on Friday, Paul Menard had clinched pole position for the evening race, 0.039s ahead of Stenhouse Jr.
