NASCAR » Cup - Martinsville - Qualifying times

Kasey Kahne clinched pole position at Martinsville for the Goody's Fast Relief 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race on Sunday afternoon.
Hendrick Motorsports' latest recruit Kasey Kahne put the #5 car on pole position on Saturday afternoon for Sunday's Goody's Fast Relief 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at the half mile oval.

This is Kahne's 24th pole in 294 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, and his first pole in 17 races at Martinsville Speedway. His previous best start at Martinsville was second in 2005.

Kevin Harvick - who earlier claimed pole position for the Camping World Truck Series race on Saturday - posted his fourth top-10 start of 2012 and his 11th in 22 races at Martinsville Speedway.

Josh Wise was the fastest qualifying rookie in 30th. JJ Yeley made it onto the 43-car grid after Tony Raines car failed post-qualifying technical inspection for having too low a ride height and had its times deleted.
