Nationwide - Texas - Race results

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won a race-long duel with polesitter Paul Menard to secure his second win of 2012 in Friday's night's O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway.
Reigning Nationwide Series champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr. claimed the lead on lap 4 and went on to win Friday's night's O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway, his fourth victory in the series in 79 starts and his second in 2012, having already won at Las Vegas.

It's his first win at Texas, however: "I loved coming here, and we finally finished off a race," he said. "We have a shot to win every week, and that's all we can do, and when we can finish it off like that, it's a positive."

Earlier, Paul Menard claimed pole position for the race with a lap of
29.717s (181.714 mph) - the only driver under the 181mph mark in the session. It's his fifth pole in 173 NASCAR Nationwide Series races and his first series pole in 11 races at Texas Motor Speedway, his previous best start having been from third place on April 4, 2009.
