Nationwide - Talladega - Race results

Joey Logano took victory in Saturday's Nationwide Series race at Talladega Superspeedway by snatching the lead from Kyle Busch through the final corner.
Joey Logano waited until the very last corner of the Aaron's 312 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Talladega Superspeedway before making his move on longtime race leader Kyle Busch in the second green-white-chequered attempt of the day, following a red flag for a serious multi-car wreck.

It's Logano's 11th victory in 95 series races, and his second victory and fourth top ten finish in 2012. It's the first time he's won in four starts at Talladega.

Logano's win delivered Toyota's 200th victory in the three NASCAR national series, comprised of 42 in Sprint Cup, 67 in Nationwide and 91 in Camping World Truck.

Prior to race day, after all track time on Thursday was rained out, Nationwide qualifying had been cancelled and the starting grid set according to car owner points (with Blake Koch alone in not making it into the race as a result) in order to allow the Nationwide cars some practice running on Friday instead. The Busch brothers then ended up topping the timesheets on Friday with identical times of 50.388s (190.045mph) just under a tenth of a second faster than Sam Hornish Jr.
