Nationwide: Charlotte - Race results

Brad Keselowski claimed victory in the NASCAR Nationwide Series History 300 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon after his stretching his fuel for the final quarter.
Penske Racing gambled on Brad Keselowski being able to lean out his fuel and make it last almost 70 laps of the 1.5-mile oval - and he delivered, picking up his 18th victory in 178 NASCAR Nationwide Series starts, his second at Charlotte but his first series win of 2012.

Earlier, Joey Logano had claimed pole position for the History 300 race with a qualifying lap of 30.157s (179.063mph) that deposed then-fastest qualifier Danica Patrick from provisional pole by 0.022s. It was Logano's 19th pole in 97 series starts. Nationwide rookie Austin Dillon would later slip into the gap between the two and onto the front row with a lap just 0.016s off Logano's.

X-Games superstar Travis Pastrana started from dead last after spinning on his qualifying lap without hitting the wall, which he also promptly did twice at the start of the race as well. However, he did go on to finish the race in 24th place, five laps off the lead.
