Nationwide: Dover - Race results

Joey Logano overcame a late pit stop to race back to the front in time for the chequered flag, to lead a Joe Gibbs Racing 1-2-3 at the Monster Mile.
Joey Logano dominated most of the 5-hour Energy 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Dover International Speedway but had to fight hard to come back after a late pit stop to claim his 13th victory in 98 starts.

It's Logano's fourth win in 2012, but his first in six starts at the Monster Mile - his best previous best finish was second (twice, in September 2009 and June 2010). He led home a Joe Gibbs Racing 1-2-3 with team mates Ryan Truex and Brian Scott, the first such sweep by a Nationwide Series team. JGR has won six of the past 10 Dover races with three different drivers.

An early accident for reigning series champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr. handed the advantage in the Nationwide points standings to Elliott Sadler.

Earlier, Ryan Truex had won his first Nationwide pole in 29 series starts with a lap of 23.264s (154.746 mph) just 0.044s ahead of Joey Logano. 20-year-old Truex was only able to take part in this weekend's event at all after being cleared by doctors mid-week following an emergency appendectomy on May 22. "I'm pretty much 100 percent, other than the fact that my stomach looks a little weird," he said.

"The plan was if I couldn't race at Dover, my brother was going to be in the car," said Truex, referring to his brother, Cup driver Martin. "I definitely didn't want that - because I knew he could go out and win the race!"
