Jimmie Johnson extended Hendrick Motorsports' winning streak with victory in the FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway.
Jimmie Johnson kept on adding to the 'wins' tally for Hendrick Motorsport, with a dominating performance at the Dover International Speedway Monster Mile on Sunday afternoon.

It was Johnson's 57th victory in 376 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, and his second of 2012, and at a track he particularly likes - he's won at Dover no fewer than seven times in 21 starts. He led the most laps at Dover for the ninth time (289 of the 400-lap race distance) including the past seven Cup races, giving Hendrick Motorsports its 202nd career victory - the third in a row. The 14 wins Hendrick now has at Dover is more than any other team.

An early accident caught up a dozen cars including Tony Stewart on lap 9 which brought out a 20 minute red flag. Engine problems took out Jeff Burton, David Reutimann and both Kyle and Kurt Busch, and a flat tyre put Carl Edwards into the wall on lap 164.

Greg Biffle continues to lead the NASCAR Sprint Cup championship standings by a single point over Matt Kenseth, after Kenseth finished third just behind Johnson and Kevin Harvick at Dover.
