Trucks: Kentucky - Race results

James Buescher claimed victory on Thursday night at Kentucky Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series UNOH 225, holding off Brad Keselowski to the finish line.
James Buescher won the UNOH 225 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Kentucky Speedway on Thursday night, leading a dominant 119 of the 150 laps on his way to his second victory in 80 race starts in the series.

It's actually his second victory in the series in the eight races so far of 2012, having already won at Kansas in April. That makes him the first driver to win more than one race so far in 2012. He's also the youngest Truck Series driver to win at Kentucky, at 22 years, three months and two days old.

Earlier on Thursday, Buescher has qualified in third place on the grid. Matt Crafton had claimed pole position, his seventh in 280 Truck race starts and his first of 2012 or at Kentucky.

Back in his 'day job' in Trucks after last week's breakthrough success in Nationwide Series racing at Road America, Nelson Piquet Jr. had joined Crafton on the front row for his fifth top ten start of the year and his third in three races at Kentucky Speedway, but he ended up crashing down to earth with an accident before the midpoint of the 150-lap race.

Timothy Peters finished in fifth place to take over the points lead of the Truck Series ahead of Justin Lofton, who was in 14th at the chequered flag.
