Joey Coulter found victory lane in his 36th outing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, holding off James Buescher to the chequered flag after acing a late-race restart.

Coulter's previous best finish in the series was third place at Texas Motor Speedway in June. It makes the 22-year-old Richard Childress Racing driver the ninth different Trucks race winner in 2012, and the fourth different first-time winner in the series this season.

Buescher claimed his seventh top ten finish in 2012, finishing just ahead of Nelson Piquet Jr., who had earlier claimed pole position with a new qualifying lap record time of 53.096s (169.504 mph) for the 2.5-mile unique triangular racetrack. It was Piquet's second pole position in 41 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races, his first coming in April at Rockingham. Piquet also topped the sole practice session for the Truck drivers at Pocono racing, recording a lap of 53.688s (167.635 mph) to again narrowly edge impressive series rookie Ty Dillon by just under a tenth of a second.

Dillon went on to claim the other spot on the front row of the grid, 0.079s back from Piquet's pole time, but he finished the race in sixth place behind Matt Crafton and Cup regular Denny Hamlin driving for his Joe Gibbs Racing team mate Kyle Busch's Truck squad.
