Elliott Sadler bounced back from being controversially denied the win last week after being black-flagged at Indianapolis, to claim his fourth Nationwide victory of 2012 and his nine in a total of 184 series starts with victory in the US Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway.

Sadler finished 0.649s ahead of Justin Allgaier, who had a comfortable margin over Sam Hornish Jr., who had jetted in with Joe Nemechek, Kurt Busch and Mike Bliss from the east coast where they are doing double duty in the Sprint Cup series race at Pocono.

Earlier on Saturday afternoon, Sadler had claimed pole position for the race with a time of 23.309s (135.141mph), a new track record time - the fourth record he's set in qualifying in 2012, not including the series' first run at Indianapolis last week. It's his 14th series pole in his 184th start and his third of the season.

Sadler edged out Darrell Wallace Jr. by 0.022 in the only 18-year-old's second start of the year in the Joe Gibbs Racing #20. Wallace had previously set the fastest time in practice in Friday in the second session of the afternoon when he posted a lap of 23.691s (132.962 mph) to see off Brendan Gaughan by 0.028s.

Austin Dillon had topped the first Nationwide practice session earlier on Friday afternoon, his lap of 23.983s (131.343 mph) on the 0.875-mile short asphalt oval 0.078s ahead of Michael McDowell, while Danica Patrick posted the third-fastest time in a dead heat with Jamie Dick.
