Trucks: Bristol - Race results

Timothy Peters took the lead on the first lap of the UNOH 200 Camping World Truck Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway and didn't relinquish it again until the chequered flag dropped.
Timothy Peters claimed his second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory of 2012 with a dominating performance in the UNOH 200 race at Bristol Motor Speedway, a rare mid-week event for the series.

Peters had taken the lead on the very first lap of the race, jumping past the polesitter Cale Gale at the green flag. He then stayed there throughout the Wednesday evening race and finally claimed the chequered flag 80 minutes later having never been led for the entire 204 laps. He's only the second driver in the series history to lead every single lap of a race at Bristol, Ron Hornaday Jr. being the first back in 1997.

It's Peters' fifth victory in his 131-race Truck Series career, and the first time that he's won at the half-mile Bristol short oval. He finished just under half a second ahead of Parker Kligerman, putting him 17pts ahead of James Buescher in the points standings.

After earlier claiming his first pole position in 23 Truck Series starts, rookie Cale Gale finished in 28th after a late accident on the backstretch.
