Trucks: Atlanta - Race results

Ty Dillon clinched his maiden win in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series after starting from pole position an seeing off the threat from Kyle Busch to cross the finish line in front.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series rookie Ty Dillon won the Friday night Jeff Foxworthy's Grit Chips 200 race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, his first visit to victory lane in the series.

Dillon beat Kyle Busch to the line by over three seconds, after Busch had a late-race brush with the wall that left his truck damaged and unable to stay with Dillon over the final laps.

Dillon had earlier claimed pole position with a lap of 31.259s (177.357mph) on the 1.54-mile Atlanta Motor Speedway, 0.058s ahead of Tim George Jr. It was Dillon's second pole in 17 series starts. James Buescher had lined up on the second row alongside Busch, who was making his first Truck series start in 2012 after being persuaded to quit the series at the end of 2011 in order to concentrate on his Cup campaign.

Despite finishing in 13th place, Timothy Peters holds on to his lead in the championship standings - but just 9pts covers the top three consisting of Peters, Buescher and Dillon with eight races remaining in the 2012 season.
