Nationwide: Atlanta - Race results

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. sneaked a last lap win in the Nationwide Seres night race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday, depriving long-time leader Kevin Harvick of a trip to victory lane.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. slipped into the lead on the very first lap of the NRA American Warrior 300 on Saturday night at Atlanta Motor Speedway, but once Kevin Harvick got up to speed and took over on lap 18 of the 195 race it looked like there was only going to ever be one winner. Until Stenhouse stole the show from under Harvick's nose on the last lap, that is.

It's Stenhouse's fourth win of 2012, and the reigning Nationwide Series champion's sixth victory in 97 series starts. Stenhouse has closed the gap to the current leader in the title battle standings, Elliott Sadler, to just 12pts after Sadler came home in fourth place.

Earlier on Saturday, Kyle Busch claimed pole position for the race with a lap of 31.450s (176.280mph) on the 1.54 oval track, his 24th pole in 237 series starts and his first of 2012. He was 0.019 ahead of Stenhouse Jr., with Cup regulars Harvick and Kasey Kahne starting off the second row of the grid.
