Nationwide: Chicago - Race results

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. made a late charge to the front of the Dollar General 300 Nationwide race at Chicagoland Speedway to beat longtime leaders Kyle Busch and Austin Dillon to the line.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. claimed his fifth Nationwide Series victory of the year and his seventh win in a total of 99 series starts by beating Kyle Busch and Austin Dillon to the line at Chicagoland Speedway in Saturday's Dollar General 300 race.

It's also the first Chicago win for his team, Roush Fenway Racing, in any of the three national-level series. It gives Stenhouse the lead in the Nationwide championship standings by 9pts over Elliott Sadler.

Joey Logano had earlier claimed pole position for the race, his 20th pole in 104 NASCAR Nationwide Series races and his fourth pole of 2012. His pole lap of 30.335s (178.012mph) was 0.062s ahead of Austin Dillon.

Dillon had topped the second practice session on Friday with a time of 30.400s (177.632 mph) ahead of Sadler, while earlier in the day Cole Whitt had finished as the fastest man on track with a time of 30.993s (174.233 mph).
