Nelson Piquet Jr. won his second race in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series by pulling off a last lap move on Matt Crafton at the end of Saturday's Smiths 350 at the 1.5-mile Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The victory makes Piquet only the third repeat winner in 2012. It follows up Piquet's maiden win in the series four races ago in August at Michigan and is his second win in a total of 47 series starts. The former F1 driver also won a Nationwide Series race in June at Road America.

Joey Coulter had won pole position on Friday evening for the race, posting a lap of 30.572s (176.632mph) at the 1.5-mile banked tri-oval Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It was his third pole in 42 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races, all of which have come in 2012 including last weekend's pole position at Kentucky, giving him the most poles of any driver in the series so far this season, while Piquet Jr. had started back in 13th place.

Coulter also topped the earlier sole practice session on Friday with a lap of 30.663s (176.108 mph), putting him 0.084s ahead of Timothy Peters, who repeated his strong performance in the qualifying session to join Coulter on the front row for the start of the race itself.

Ty Dillon continues to lead the championship, now by just 1pt over second-placed James Buescher with just five races remaining in the 2012 season.
