Nationwide: Charlotte - Race results

Joey Logano claimed his eighth Nationwide victory of 2012 with a win at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the Dollar General 300 race on Friday evening.
Joey Logano found victory lane for the eighth time this season and the 17th time in his 106-race NASCAR Nationwide Series career, claiming the Dollar General 300 by a margin of 2.76s over Kevin Harvick.

It's Logano's first win at Charlotte in the series in nine attempts, and came after he led a race-high of 62 laps of the 200-lap race distance on Friday evening. It is also the eighth Nationwide win of 2012 for his team Joe Gibbs Racing, which has 76 series wins in total to its credit.

Earlier on Friday, Eliott Sadler claimed his fourth pole of the season and his 15th pole in 193 Nationwide Series starts. It was his first pole position in the Nationwide Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway. His qualifying time of 29.310s (184.238mph) was 0.037s ahead of leading rookie Austin Dillon.

Harvick had topped the first practice session of the day with a lap of 29.754s (181.488 mph) ahead of Dillon, while Ricky Stenhouse Jr. paced the second session with a lap of 29.496s (183.076 mph) to put him just ahead of Kyle Busch.
