Nationwide: Texas - Race results

Kevin Harvick dominated the O'Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday night, leading over half the 200 laps of the race to claim his second win of the year.
Kevin Harvick graciously allowed Kyle Busch to lead the first 65 laps of the O'Reilly Auto Parts Challenge under the night time floodlights of Texas Motor Speedway, but once he moved in front he was there to stay.

After 127 of 200 laps in the lead, Harvick duly picked up his 39th career win in his 290th Nationwide Series race. It is Kevin Harvick's second win of 2012 in his 13th race after previously emerging triumphant at Richmond, and he has now finished either first or second in his last three Nationwide starts. This was Harvick's fifth Texas win in 14 races on the 1.5-mile quad-oval, tying Kyle Busch for the most victories at Texas in the series.

Busch had claimed pole position earlier on Saturday with a lap of 25.5s (183.051 mph) just three hundredths of a second faster than Elliott Sadler. It's Busch's 25th pole in 242 NASCAR Nationwide Series putting him fourth on
the all-time series records, and is his second pole in 2012. Kevin Harvick and Austin Dillon lined up on the second row for the green flag.

Cole Whitt led the times in the first practice session on Friday with a time of 30.018s (179.892 mph) just five thousandths of a second faster than Ricky Stenhouse Jr., while Kyle Busch was top of the second session with a time of 29.502s (183.038 mph) ahead of Austin Dillon.
