Kentucky: Cup results

Matt Kenseth won the rain-delayed Quaker State 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Kentucky Speedway on Sunday afternoon, finishing seven-tenths of a second ahead of Jamie McMurray.
Matt Kenseth claimed his fourth win of 2013 and his 28th victory in 489 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races by clinching the chequered flag at the end of the Quaker State 400 race at Kentucky Speedway on Sunday afternoon, in a race postponed from the previous evening by persistent showers in the region.

Jimmie Johnson led for 182 laps but a spin at the penultimate start - which he blamed on Kenseth holding up the rest of the field - dropped him to the back of the lead lap with too little time to recover to better than ninth place by the finish.

However, Johnson still leads the Sprint Cup championship standings by 38 points points over Carl Edwards, who led the initial laps of the day but dropped to 21st place in the final stages of the race.
