Daytona: Nationwide results

Joe Gibbs Racing's Matt Kenseth claimed his first Nationwide Series win of 2013 in only his seventh start of the season with victory in Daytona on Friday.
Sprint Cup regular Matt Kenseth returned to NASCAR Nationwide Series competition after a four race hiatus on Friday evening at Daytona International Speedway and duly won the honours in the Subway Firecracker 250 to pick up his 27th victory in 255 total career starts in the championship. He was assisted to the line in a green-white-chequered finish by James Buescher after a late ten-minute red flag for a six-car accident.

Austin Dillon earlier won pole position and started alongside Travis Pastrana who led the first lap but who eventually made contact with Cole Whitt in turn 4 on lap 98 to spark the evening's only major incident. Other cautions during the evening had been for debris (lap 48), fluid on the track (lap 71) and Mike Wallace losing his engine on lap 90.

Regan Smith continues to lead the points standings by six over Sam Hornish Jr.
