Qualifying times: Chevy Rock & Roll 400.

Ryan Newman claimed pole position for Saturday night's Chevy Rock & Roll 400 at just the right time, as the ALLTEL Dodge driver is currently eighth in the Nextel Cup points and needing to claim a good result this weekend to qualify for the final 10-race shootout for the title. Mark Martin, another chasing that final spot with a current 10th in the points, will start from the outside of the front row, ahead of championship leader Jimmie Johnson and Joe Nemechek.
