Qualifying times: MBNA America 400.

Jeremy Mayfield rebounded from being shunted out of last week's race to put his Dodge on pole position for Sunday's MBNA 400 at Dover. Ryan Newman, another who looked a race winner last week until his engine went sick, will start second, while the highest Hendrick Motorsport qualifier was rookie Brian Vickers. He starts third alongside Elliot Sadler's Ford. Vickers' titled-contending team-mates Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon line up eighth and 21st respectively, while joint points leaders Kurt Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr are 13th and 16th, Busch just behind winner of the June Dover race Mark Martin.

The MBNA America 400 takes the green flag at 1pm Eastern Time on Sunday, 6pm in the UK. Check back to Crash.net for a full report.
