British Eurosport broadcasts the three main motorcycle road racing championships - MotoGP, World Superbike and British Superbike.

Popular with fans for its extensive live coverage, together with entertaining and informative commentary, Eurosport nevertheless looked to have lost the rights to MotoGP for 2009.

That announcement by MotoGP rights holder's Dorna Sports was met with anger and disappointment by a substantial number of fans and, perhaps due to people power, Dorna reversed its decision eight months later, just before the 2009 season began.

British Eurosport thus continued to broadcast alongside the BBC - albeit with delayed coverage of MotoGP races, an arrangement that will continue in 2010.
