Having recently confirmed that he will be back in the Nextel Cup this season, Ward Burton has added an extensive Busch Series campaign to keep himself busy in 2007.

Brewco Motorsports Inc revealed the 2002 Daytona 500 winner as the driver of the #27 Kleenex Ford Fusion in 20 races of the forthcoming Busch Series, beginning with the Daytona 300 on 17 February.

"I'm excited to be working with Brewco, team owner Clarence Brewer Jr, and crew chief Stewart Cooper - as well as a great long-running sponsor like Kimberly-Clark," Burton said, "I'm also excited to be back in the Busch Series, especially with a stand-alone Busch Series team. I know Clarence is giving us the resources we need to have competitive cars each and every week."

Burton's Busch Series career spans nine years and 145 races, in which he picked up four wins, 23 top five and 49 top ten finishes, and crew chief Cooper admits that it good to have that sort of experience aboard.

"We're thrilled to have a veteran like Ward in the #27," he said, "We got a bit off track in 2006 and didn't get the results we know we're capable of. The whole Brewco team has worked extra hard this off-season to get our cars ready for 2007 and, with the commitment of our guys, the support of Kimberly-Clark, and Ward's experience and track record, we know we have the tools to win."

The identity of Burton's stand-in for the remaining races will be named in the coming weeks. Casey Atwood drove the #27 under Cooper's guidance in 2006, running alongside Cup regular Scott Wimmer's #66 entry.
