It seems bizarre to be thinking about the 2007 Formula One season when the 2005 one has yet to even reach its conclusion, but that is exactly what has been happening in recent weeks with the silly season kicking off extra early.
The speculation is very much focused on Ferrari, and who will or wont - be driving for the Scuderia beyond next season. Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa both have contracts which run until the end of 2006 but what will happen beyond then?
Will Schumacher elect to hang up his helmet or will he decide he wishes to continue in the sport where he has won everything there is to win? Will Massa do enough next season to earn himself more time in a race seat or is the Brazilian merely a filler a la Button at Williams in 2000 before someone else comes in for 2007?
And if Schumacher and/or Massa aren't there, then who will take their place? At the moment the two names doing the rounds are Kimi Raikkonen and Valentino Rossi although McLaren and Raikkonen both insist the Finn is happy where he is and Rossi is very much keeping his cards close to his chest about what his future plans are although his MotoGP contract does expire at the end of next season.
So with all that in mind, who will Ferrari chose?
