Rossi celebrates win in front of fans, Australian MotoGP Race 2005

With the regular season done and dusted, motorsport has a new collection of champions to be feted over the winter months - but which one is the most deserving?

Some, like Valentino Rossi, Sebastien Loeb and Tony Rickardsson, could be considered shoe-ins for their respective title, but does that make them any less deserving than the likes of Fernando Alonso, who made a rocket start to the F1 campaign to give himself a cushion over his rivals, or Nico Rosberg - who came from behind to clinch GP2 - or Andy Priaulx, who survived the rigours of Macau to claim the WTCC crown?
