Pritchard eyes repeat on Manx

Jason Pritchard took his first victory of the year on the 2008 International Rally Isle of Man, en route to clinching the C2R2cup title - and he is aiming for a repeat when he returns to the island for round four of the 2009 series this weekend.

After narrowly missing out on victory on the Jim Clark Rally back in May, after a last stage spin cost them time, Pritchard and fellow Welshman Andrew Edwards now intend to go one better.

The pair realise that the key to the rally, and indeed the whole championship, will be strong precise pace-notes.

“Last year I worked really hard on my notes for this event and it paid dividends, and it's an approach I intend to use again this year,” explained Pritchard.

“The Isle of Man is one of the trickiest events I've ever done, but it is so rewarding when it all comes right too.”
