Guy Wilks has said that he is really looking forward to the title showdown on the Wales Rally GB, the final round in the 2007 Tesco 99 Octane MSA British Rally Championship.
Wilks has won three events in the BRC this season, including the most recent round back in October, the International Rally Yorkshire.
Furthermore while he trails Mark Higgins, the current leader in the BRC standings by a seemingly distant 16 points, with drivers' only counting five scores from seven and Rally GB counting as two events, it is all still very open.
Indeed six drivers' remain in contention for the BRC crown, including Guy's Mitsubishi team-mate, Gywndaf Evans.
Wilks and Evans - and David Higgins - have all been moved up the starting order for Rally GB as they have been entered as PWRC 'wild cards'. This re-seeding means they will start ahead of most of their rivals in the BRC and closer to Mark Higgins, who has been competing in both the BRC and the PWRC this season.
"I'm massively looking forward to the showdown," said Wilks in the countdown to next week's event, which runs from November 30 to December 2.
"Following a good result in Ireland last week [when I finished sixth overall] and with my WRC campaign now finished for the year, I really want to win the British title. Because of the position I'm in there's more pressure than there should be, but I can handle that.
"I'm going to watch what is happening with Mark and then react accordingly. Bring it on!"
For the Mitsubishi UK 'works' team as a whole meanwhile there is also the matter of the British Team's title to settle. Currently the Cirencester-based outfit tops the team's table, 7 points ahead of the Subarus of Stobart TEG Sport.
"For Mitsubishi the Team's Title is the main focus. However, it goes without saying that I would be delighted to see either Guy or Gwyndaf take the driver's title," added Mitsubishi team boss, Paul Brigden.
"Having scored three victories this season there's no doubt that both our cars and drivers have the pace to win and we are 100 per cent committed to achieving what we have set out to do since we began competing in the BRC in 2005 – and that's to become British Champions for both teams and drivers in the same year!"
