Wyn Humphreys has revealed that he is hoping to be able to confirm his programme for 2008 early next month at the Autosport International Show.

Humphreys was a newcomer to the BRC in 2007, but despite his lack of experience he enjoyed a very solid debut year. Indeed he even led the standings at the halfway mark, following a third place finish on the Rally Isle of Man. Although he eventually slipped back and had to settle for fourth spot, behind Guy Wilks, Mark Higgins and Gwyndaf Evans, he was only 3 points off the latter.

Speaking exclusively to Crash.net Radio recently the Welshman noted that he definitely wants to do a second year in the BRC now in order to put everything he learned to good use.

"At the moment we are finalising a few deals so we can go back to do the BRC again next year. We are just hoping we can get a good run," he stated.

"We have got a few deals on the go and we want to get something signed before the Autosport Show. We want to launch it there. There is no better stage to launch a new sponsor than at the Autosport Show."

Asked who will sit alongside him, Wyn noted that is still up in the air, as his co-driver from this year, Alistair Mackay is currently living on the other side of the world.

"I have put out that I am looking for a new co-driver assuming Ally doesn't come back. He doesn't know what his plans are for next year. But I will stay with him if I can," he explained.

As for the year overall, Humphreys was generally happy with his debut season: "It was a good year, although it was quite a difficult," he continued. "But like we said at the beginning of the season this was a learning year being as it was our first.
