Swann takes Tempest silver

Revolution Wheels Rally Team number one driver Rob Swann finished in second place on the Suzuki Tempest South of England Rally last weekend.

Swann, who regards the Aldershot-based event as one of his favourites, ran strongly throughout in his Subaru Impreza N14, eventually finishing around 2 minutes behind event winner, Marcus Dodd in his Hyundai Accent WRC.

"I would like to thank the whole team for their support this year and everyone involved," said Swann. "The Tempest was a great rally to end the year with and is always well run.

"We had a great car and the N14 is fantastic now after some small developments over the past few events. I am really looking forward to next season because we will be very competitive and could fight for a championship.

"Since finishing the Tempest we have decided to enter the Grizedale Stages [on November 29] to further develop the car on gravel."

Martyn England meanwhile was third, while BTCC star Rob Collard was fourth followed by Swann's Revolution team-mate, Karl Simmons, who was just 1 second further back in fifth.
