Jones set to realise a dream on Rally GB

by Geoff Mayes

Neville Jones will finally realise a lifelong dream when he and co-driver Ian Capewell take to the start of the Wales Rally GB this week at the wheel of their Vulcan Fasteners-backed Subaru Impreza N12.

Jones, a lifetime fan of the sport, upgraded to a newer specification Subaru at the beginning of 2008 and once he had adjusted the set-up of the car to his liking, he immediately began to reap the rewards.

Ending the 2008 British rallying season with second in class in the Welsh National Championship and well inside the top ten in the ultra competitive BTRDA rally series has given 'Nev' the confidence he needs to tackle the WRC finale this weekend.

"I have always wanted to tackle Wales Rally GB and now I'm finally getting the chance. This is just the realisation of a dream," said the Stone based businessman.

"I have to say a massive thanks to Geoff Jones Motorsport for all the help and support they have given all year long."

The Wales Rally GB will be, by far, the longest rally that Jones and Capewell will have contested and as such they have been focusing on their fitness and stamina over the past few months.
