SD Roy withdraws WRGB entry

Indian driver SD Roy has withdrawn his entry from the Wales Rally GB, it was announced today.

The Milton Keynes-based man, who has competed in the 2008 Tesco 99 Octane MSA British Rally Championship in an MG ZR, was forced to pull out for personal reasons.

"Supradip withdrew from the rally today due to his mother suffering a heart attack," confirmed a statement from the organisers of the WRGB. "He will fly to her in his native India later this week."

SD Roy's withdrawal means the total number of BRC entrants now drops down to 15, although BRC Challenge winner David Harrison is not registered to score points.
