Revolution Wheels heads for season finale

Newly crowned 2009 Scottish Group N rally champion Euan Thorburn is looking forward to ending his maiden MSA British Rally Championship campaign on a high after a mixed season in the premier division of British rallying.

Thorburn and co-driver Campbell Roy have been dovetailing assaults on the Scottish and British Championships in a Revolution Wheels backed Subaru Impreza N12 and have consistently shown impressive pace but 23-year-old Thorburn has been stymied by bad luck on occasion.

This weekends high speed International Rally of Yorkshire is the final round of the 2009 MSA British Rally Championship and the Duns based British Rally Academy Member aims to end the season on a high.

Warren McKiernan is pleased with how young Euan has performed in his maiden season.

“After watching Euan in the Scottish Championship last year I was impressed with his pace,” he said. “Working with him in the British Championship this year I've seen a mature head developing on those young shoulders. The International Rally of Yorkshire is a tricky event but we look forward to comparing times against the other junior drivers.”

The 2009 International Rally of Yorkshire will be based once again in Pickering and will consist of nine high speed stages through the famous Yorkshire forests of Dalby, Cropton and Langdale. The whole event takes place on Saturday 26th September with the first car away at 08:40am.
