Yorkshire beckons for Pritchard

Jason Pritchard is gearing up for the forthcoming International Rally of Yorkshire, the final round of the 2009 MSA British Rally Championship and an event which the 21-year-old is familiar with, after dominating his class on the event last year, en route to taking the Citroen C2R2cup championship.

Pritchard, a member of the British Rally Elite, and co-driver Andrew Edwards will be looking for a strong run following their recent impressive performance on their first ever overseas rally, the Flanders Rally in Belgium.

There, the pair were pleasantly pleased to find themselves on the pace of the rapid locals despite never having contested the rally before and with no allowance for testing their FCS Laser Mail, North Road Garage and Competition Car Insurance supported C2R2 Max before hand.

“Flanders was a real confidence boost as it proved that we are on the pace no matter where we go,” Pritchard said. “Although the International Rally of Yorkshire is not a round of the Citroen Racing Trophy I'm still looking forward to contesting the rally and my target is to be in the thick of the two-wheel drive action from the very beginning!”
