Pritchard ready for European finale

Jason Pritchard is eagerly looking forward to putting his recent woes behind him as the 21-year-old heads to Nice, in France, for the final round of the 2009 FIA European Rally Championship where he will face some of Europe's fastest rally drivers over some of the best rally roads in the area.

Pritchard contested the recent Rallye Le Touquet in his Competition Car Insurance, North Road Garage and FCS Laser mail backed Citroen C2R2 Max and led his highly competitive class outright early on and as such will be hoping to using experiences learnt a fortnight ago to his advantage.

“Rallye Le Touquet was a really good experience and we learnt a lot about the BF Goodrich tyres and how they behave in the wet,” he said. “We now head to Antibes with this knowledge on board. I've proved that I have the pace now we just need to convert that into a strong result and end the season on a high.”

Prithcard has recruited experienced co-driver Darren Garrod for the event after regular navigator Andrew Edwards was forced to skip the event due to work commitments.

The Rally Antibes Côte d'Azur is the final round of the 2009 FIA European Rally Championship and as such has attracted a number of Europe's finest rally drivers. The rally will also count as a round of the French Citroen Racing Trophy and as such should see a strong entry of the Citroen C2R2 pocket rockets.
